Don’t

Geared up with valour,

With strong determination,

A will as turbulent as her intention,

She is interrupted with a Don’t,

For each time she tries,

She is latched and tamed,

Threatened with its consequences,

Whatever be the circumstances,

The future of her every action is decided before its reaction,

Geared up with valour,

With strong determination,

A will as turbulent as her intention,

She is interrupted with a Don’t,

For each time she tries,

She is latched and tamed,

Threatened with its consequences,

Whatever be the circumstances,

The future of her every action is decided before its reaction,

Rationale and reason dusted to bins,

Complying with the masses is a win,

Trying every time she learns,

Detaching her from her roots,

Liberalism is what we talk about,

Looking at her in grievous doubt,

She can be the focus of your sculpture,

A theme of poetry, and romance, an issue of discussion,

On big round tables, referring to her in conferences and seminars,

Depicting her in your paintings,

Overlooking the agony behind every face,

You colour her emotions in black and blue,

Varnishing away the dreadful hue,

Lamenting her fate, we leave her to god’s mercy,

Putting the goddess of eternity to shame,

Eventually putting her to blame,

Why is she obstructed at every new step that she takes?

Expelling her with a colossal Don’t,

Loosen up the chains and see,

She is not just a theme of a portrait or a poem,

So feeble so inert as depicted,

Let her experiment, let her attempt,

Only then she can understand,

Why progressing people have failed many times

While the inert has tremendously hailed.
