Quad and Quasi-alignment with the United States

The long-term costs of quasi-alignment with the United States need to be assessed by the Government of India.

The President of the United States (US) hosted the first in-person Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad) summit at the White House in the last week of September. The Prime Ministers of India, Australia, and Japan attended the meeting and once again pledged to build peace and prosperity in the Indo–Pacific region. All four countries have common interests in maintaining a stable balance of power in the region.
