The Taliban have taken over Afghanistan on 15 August 2021. Evidently, Pakistan’s constant support to the Taliban and the withdrawal of the United States (US) forces from Afghanistan brought about the rapid collapse of the Ashraf Ghani regime. In the midst of festering political turmoil, the Taliban are working towards formation of a new government with the help of its veteran seniors.
