Mastram Kapoor
Mastram Kapoor, eminent socialist thinker and Hindi litterateur, passed away at the age of 87, at his residence in Delhi on 2 April 2013. He was diagnosed with cancer in its final stage two months before his death. He remained alert despite the physical trauma and continued to work for the formation of a third front along with A B Bardhan of the Communist Party of India, and other like-minded people.

Dr Kapoor, as he was known, had put in much hard and dedicated effort to edit and publish nine volumes which comprise the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Rachnawali in Hindi and the Collected Works of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia in English. He also edited five volumes of the Lok Sabha mein Lohia collection in Hindi. This has been a contribution of great significance for India’s political and academic world.
