Financial Inclusion in the Slums of Mumbai

Although financial inclusion - the delivery of banking services at an affordable cost to the vast sections of disadvantaged and low-income groups - has become the buzzword in financial circles, it has still a long way to go. The results of a study conducted in selected slums of Mumbai to gauge the nature of financial inclusion bust certain myths about banking practices among urban slum-dwellers.
