Why Telangana?
This has reference to the two articles on Telangana in the EPW of 27 March 2010 (“‘Backwardisation’ of Telangana” and “On the Telangana Trail”).
Keshav Rao Jadhav could have exercised restraint in his references to the Andhra leaders whose statues were installed in Hyderabad. They were all chief ministers of Andhra state/Andhra Pradesh. Their contribution to the development of the state cannot be ignored. It was up to the leaders of the Telangana area to have statues of the leaders from their area installed in the state capital.
