Biased against Workers

We are making this representation with considerable concern and anguish, because of the recent trend of the decisions of the apex court, which is almost going against the interests of the weaker section of the society, i e, the working class, for whose alleviation all our institutions, we assume, are working. The Constitution of India ensures social and economic justice. In fact, the word “socialist” is there in the preamble to the Constitution, which leaves no doubt that we should work for the betterment of our people.

On the elevation of justice Krishna Iyer, who is equally your mentor, the constitutional values received a new emphasis. He reaffirmed the values in the Preamble and the Directive Principles of State Policy. The working people and the vulnerable sections of society looked up to the Supreme Court as the guardian of their rights.
