Hill Economies of the North-eastern Region

The hill economies of the remote north-east region of India have been undeveloped and somewhat disconnected from the Indian economy in general. Ways to redress their lack of development and realise the full potential of the many advantages this region enjoys were discussed in a recent seminar.
