Status of Gas in India's Fuel Basket

Gas, both natural and R-LNG, has already emerged from the shadows of being a peripheral product in the hydrocarbon basket, though the market suffers from a severe demand-supply imbalance. However, design of the regulatory structure remains one of the key concerns and development of the gas market will be largely determined by the maturity of gas infrastructure, especially high pressure transmission lines.
