EC's Changes to Trade Preferences

The European Commission is introducing changes to the Generalised System of Preferences in trade which will create a two-tier system from which the larger beneficiaries like India and China will be excluded, while other low-income countries and those with "inadequate diversification of their economies" would continue to be able to draw on the benefits of preferences.
