Reminiscences- Krishna Raj

It is over a month now since Krishna Raj passed away. Touching reminiscences and letters paying tributes to him are still pouring in not only from across the country but also from many corners abroad. While some recalled fond memories narrating anecdotes of experiences or time spent with him at the EPW office or outside all are full of profound sorrow over his demise and appreciation of his tremendous contribution to the advancement of liberal thinking, research and debate ranging over the entire spectrum of social sciences in India for more than three decades. Had he been alive Raj would have been surprised and embarrassed to see how widely he was known and admired and how the journal that he edited is cherished by the intellectual community in India and beyond.
