Alive and Well
I recently came across the article ‘Can Calcutta Become Another Bangalore? Looking for Windows of Opportunity in International Telework’ by Swasti Mitter and Asish Sen (June 24-30, 2000) and would like to inform readers that contrary to the report in the article, Next Generation Software (www.ngs-solutions.com) is alive and well in Kolkata and has grown in revenue and product base over the last few years.

Although I am no longer involved in day-to-day operations of the company, my wife Anita still manages the export projects of the company and has recently established a branch of the company in the US. Local customers in Kolkata have also expanded their business needs, and the company is doing very well under the stewardship of its managers and able software engineers.
