Teleworking in Malaysia

The realisation that the objective of achieving a knowledge-society and economy in Malaysia could be facilitated by teleworking both at the national and transnational levels prompted the setting up of a project for promoting and developing teleworking bringing together the various stakeholders - the government, the corporate sector and the relevant sectors of civil society. This paper summarises the findings of the research study associated with the project, the methodological constraints in conducting the study, the findings and analysis of the quantitative and qualitative data and policy recommendations.
