Testimonies of Displaced Workers A Srinivas OVER a year and a half after the Supreme Court passed its order on relocation/closure of 'hazardous and polluting' factories in Delhi, the more than 50,000 workers affected by these closures are still suffering. Hardly any factory has paid compensation for shifting or closure as required by the court, Workers rendered unemployed since December 1996 and without wages since then have been pushed to the brink.
