The Concept of Global Tribes

Tribes: How Race, Religion and Identity Determine Success in the New Global Economy by Joel Kotkin; Random House, New York, 1993. It deals with the history and operation of some immigrant groups in the US and other countries, and makes sweeping generalisations about their activities leading to "the road to cosmopolis", a phrase used in the epilogue part of the book.
