Heritage versus Whim

May 5 the European Clean Clothes Campaign together with the Permanent People's Tribunal will organise an International Forum about the rights of workers and consumers in the garments sector. The Forum will be held in Brussels, Belgium, and will specifically highlight the responsibility of the multinational corporations and retail trading companies in particular Nike, C and A, H and M, Levi Strauss, Otto Versand, Walt Disney and Adidas for the unjust working conditions existing at production sites in the garment industry worldwide. The International Forum further aims at strengthening networks of workers' and consumers' organisations, it aims at providing legal arguments for campaigners, and also seeks to strengthen our negotiating position vis-a-vis multinational retail trading companies.
