Coercive VRS at KEC International THE management of the highly profitable (net profits of Rs 38 crore in 1995-96) RPGgroup company KEC International has resorted to an illegal attempt to retrench workers and close their Kurla factory through a 'Voluntary Retirement Scheme' (VRS). In the last few days, several hundred workers at the company's Kurla factory have resigned under pressure both direct and indirect - from the management.
