Though the company's net sales and value of production improved by 5.8 per cent and 3 per cent, respectively, operating profit suffered by 13.3 percent. With interest charges rising by 3.9 per cent, depreciation provision being higher by 8,8 per cent and tax provision rising by 72.7 per cent over the same period, the company's net profit fell drastically by 39.9 per cent.
