Withdraw Ban Order

S C Dube LIKE K N Raj (July 20), I too was taken aback by Krishna Kumar' s severe criticism of Andre Beteille's obituary note on the late S C Dube (June 29). No reader with an open mind could regard it as anything but a sincere tribute to the many-sided contributions of Dube towards the development of social anthropology and sociology in India. By no means can the note be characterised as "tongue in cheek".
