Learning from a Legacy How and What?
N Venugopal Rao AT one point of time or the other, every society has to strive to identify its heritage and imbibe whatever is positive in that legacy. This process happened in several societies, especially in the post-colonial context. But, even while hundreds of del- egates gathered at the first ever Congress on Traditional Sciences and Technologies of India (CTSTI) held an impressive show, basic questions regarding what was traditional and why a selected portion of the traditional was being invoked remained unresolved.
