The operating profit of the company has gone up by 33 per cent, but net profit has actually declined by 7 per cent. An increase of 102 per cent in non-operating surplus was offset by increase in taxation by 131 per cent. While depreciation increased by 57 per cent, interest burden decreased by 49 per cent. Other income decreased by 30 per cent in the year. The company has not fared well on the export from either, exports having declined by 52 per cent. The company has declared a dividend of 35 per cent for the year against 32 per cent in the previous year. The debt-equity ratio of has come down from 64 per cent in 1991-92
