Liberation Struggle Case of Eritrea Worku Zerai Eritrea gained independence in 1993 from Ethiopian occupation after a long struggle for liberation. Women were active participants in the struggle and wen organised under the National Union of Eritrean Women. What was the role of the union in the struggle?
