Karnataka Panchayat Act Captive Bodies

Captive Bodies S K Singh KARNATAKA has the distinction of enacting a comprehensive Panchayati Raj Act in the light of the 73rd constitution amendment. The act came into force from May 10, 1993. Since it was the first such enactment after the 73rd amendment, it has succeeded in catching the eye of the friends of the panchayati raj. It has received a wide range of comments covering political, economic, administrative and other aspects. This note analyses some salient features of the act and the related issues.
