Confused and Directionless The Reserve Bank's credit policy for the first half of 1992-93 lacks a sense of direction: it is neither anti-inflationary nor growth -supportive WHILE the avowed objectives of the credit policy for the first half of 1992-93 just announced by the Reserve Bank include revival of industrial and agricultural production, encouraging exports and bearing down on inflation, the policy measures do not constitute either a break from the past or a bridge to the future. As usual there is a lot of tinkering and the approach smacks of ad horism.
