The R and D expenditure formed 0.11 per cent of total turnover. This enabled the company to reduce cost of production and develop a new inhibitor system and new grades of SB rubbers. Future plans include development of new grades of styrene-butadiene rubbers and latices and raw materials and chemicals now imported.
