BJP-Responsible Image

'Responsible' Image PREDICTABLY the proceedings of the two-day meeting of the BJP national executive, the first since the May general elections, was quite in keeping with the party's post-election stance. The logic of the party's circumstances, after the elections raised it to the status of the second- largest national party, has left its imprint on the formulations of the BJP on various issues. Noticeably absent is the bluster that characterised the party's rhetoric immediately prior to the elections. For the time being, the party appears to be satisfied with the gains mad; in the last elections particularly since the present arrangement at the centre suits its convenience.
