Polarisation Helps UDF THE Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala is no doubt rueing its decision to terminate the life of the State legislature before completion of its full term and opt for assembly elections along with the general elections. Following the elections the LDF, which had a strength of 78 MLAs in the previous house, has been reduced to 50 while the United Democratic Front (UDF) has increased ils tally from 60 seats to 89 seats.
