Dissent in Bhutan OF the two north-eastern kingdoms neighbouring India, Nepal is at present hogging the newspaper headlines' thanks to the pro-democracy movement launched there recently. But the Indian media have hardly cared to report a similar movement under way in Bhutan. News about their homeland reaching students from Bhutan studying in Delhi, suggests that a reign of terror had been let loose by the royal regime on the people of southern Bhutan, mainly Nepali-speaking, who form 40 per cent of the country's population.
