INDIAN SEWING MACHINE COMPANY registered 5 per cent increase in annualised basis in its sales and servicing income dur-ing the year ended March 31, 1990 and brought about conspicuous improvements in its profits and profitability. The sales/servicing income net of commission and discount spurted from Rs 35.07 crore to Rs 49.20 crore. The other income in the form of interest and dividend from invest-ments and miscellaneous income increas-ed from Rs 34 lakh to Rs 1.65 crore.
