No Takers THE only impact of the Bhopal disaster it would seem, was to have put a couple of more statutes into the book of industrial safety. It isn't that new regulations have been ignored; many have been implemented but in a piecemeal fashion. However the general attitude to these issues in the quarters which matter, the government and the industry, remains almost unchanged. The explosion at the public sector IPCL's Rs 1,390 crore Maharashtra Gas Cracker Complex under construction, early this week is a case in point.
