manufacture of 15,000 cordless telephones and 50,000 audio tape recorders. It will be introducing cordless telephones for the first time in the country and is in the process of finalising collaboration with Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) for transfer of technology for their manufacture. The company has also finalised arrangements for manufacture of audio tape recorders based on design and components from Sony Corporation, Japan. It also has plans to manufacture electronic cash registers/invoicing machines with Japanese collaboration, which is under negotiation. Cooking ranges, micro-wave ovens, washing machines, VCR/VCP, raido communication receivers, telephone answering systems, radio paging systems and computer software are some of the areas where the company plans to diversify. The total cost of the expansion-cum- diversification project is estimated at Rs 245 lakh and is being financed by equity issue of Rs 206 lakh, internal Accruals of Rs 5.10 lakh and term loan from KFC of Rs 33.90 lakh.
