RECENT reports have drawn attention to the harassment, victimisation and torture of medical professionals who showed exceptional courage to uphold fundamental principles of medical ethics, namely, that medical care should be provided to every patient without any discrimination on the ground of caste, creed, religion, sex, political affiliation, etc.
