AUTOMOBILES-No Place for This Project

With oilseeds production this season widely anticipated to be less than in 1988-89 and allowing for normal annual increase in consumption, the gap between indigenous supply and demand will be wider than in the previous season. The gap could be bridged through (a) imports of edible oils or (b) the price mechanism and/or (c) a judicious mix of (a) and (b).
