Accent on Quality FAG PRECISION BEARINGS has turned out distinctly better working results for 15 months ended March 1989. Production for the period was higher on an annualised basis by 9.5 per cent quantity-wise and 11.4 per cent value-wise over that of 1987. The company maintained its emphasis on the improvement of the quality of bearings. Turnover amounted to Rs 43.33 crore against Rs 25.42 crore in the previous year and yielded a gross profit of Rs 6.24 crore aynst Rs 2.54 crore. Net profit expanded to Rs 231 lakh from a mere Rs 33 lakh previously. The directors have stepped up dividend from 10 per cent to 16 per cent which is covered 4.28 times by earnings, as against just one time last year.
