THIRD WORLD DEBT-Partial Solutions

Partial Solutions THE World Bank's annual publication World Debt Tables, its title notwithstanding, is actually devoted to the external debt of the developing countries only, which is estimated to reach a figure of $ 1.3 trillion by the close of 1988. If the external debt of the developed world, including that of the countries in the Soviet orbit, were to be added on, the total would possibly be close to, if not higher than, $ 3 trillion, with the US alone accounting for one-third of the total.
