He outlined the functions of the committee and said that its main function was to produce guidelines for the WTCs and also to explain the reasons for, such guidelines. The committee looks at the socio-economic factors affecting trade and also the trading factors that are "endemic" to the trading world, especially, WTCs The committee, takes into cognisance that (he countries of the world are divided according to values other than money, which may be moral and religious, political or nationalist values. Thus the need to study the world, especially for trading purposes, must essentially arise from the grassroots level
