stagnate between 190 million kg and 205 million kg during the past few years are poised for a significant jump in the current fiscal year (1988-89), thanks to the record crop anticipated and a number of fiscal incentives offered by the government. Since crop prospects in 1988-89 are said to be better than the good crop harvested in 1987-88, availability of sufficient exportable surplus will not be a problem.
