Opposition Unity

Opposition Unity Are the long drawn out strivings of the opposition parties for Some form of unity getting somewhere at last? Representatives of the Janata, the Lok Dal, the Congress(S) and the Jan Morcha, meeting in Delhi on this Tuesday, agreed to form a new political party to be known as the Samajwadi Lok Dal by the unification of the four parties. The new party's flag and symbol have been agreed upon and the other formalities connected with its formation are expected to be completed by August 15. There is also the other proposal, mooted by NT Rama Rao, for a 'national people's front' towards the formation of which the Telugu Desam leader has called a meeting of seven parties
