Another Look at Chandwad

GAIL OMVEDT's account (November 29, 1986) of Sharad Joshi's Chandwad meet makes interesting reading. Her concern for bringing together various movements from below seems to be at the root of her enthusiasm while responding to the Chandwad conference. She has some serious reservations about Sharad Joshi's theoretical stand on certain issues concerning women. Yet, her optimism manages to surpass her reservations.
