In recent years Bihar has witnessed the formation of caste-based landlord-dominated 'senas', for instance, the Bhumi Sena of the Kurmi landlords, the Lorik Sena of the Yadav landlords, the Brahmarshi Sena of the Bhoomihar landlords, ete whose potential recruits are their respective caste members. The police have supported such caste-based landlords' 'senas'.
