Domestic operations were affected by rising input costs, which could be recovered in a very minor proportion only through adjustment of selling prices. Total sales amounted to Rs 75.98 crore against Rs 63.03 crore and yielded a gross profit of Rs 6.03 crore against Rs 4.27 crore. Net profit came to Rs 3.48 crore (Rs 1.95 crore). Dividend has been raised by two points to 16 per cent and is covered 4.83 times by earnings as against 3.09 times previously.
