Nuclear Policy- Avoiding Answers Again

December 14, 1985 the arrest of plant officials appears to be rather a farce. Negligence towards industrial safety, the Delhi accident has once again served to underscore, is more often than not a component of the policies and attitudes of industry and business. Given the cosy relation- ship between government and business, it is unrealistic to expect that government will, left to itself, compel industry to pay the required attention to elimination of industrial hazards. That cannot happen until the potential victims of industry's criminal neglect, the people, begin to take an active interest in the matter.
