February 2, 1985 MAHARASHTRA Strike Threat by College Teachers J V Deshpande AFTER a period of comparative quiet of about two years, the colleges and universities in Maharashtra are once again threatened with unrest and a possible dislocation in the teaching and examination schedules of the Institutes of Higher Learning in Maharashtra, The Federation of the College and University Teachers' Unions in Maharashtra (MFUCTO), a body representing almost all the teachers in the junior and degree colleges and university departments in Maharashtra has called upon all the teachers in these institutes to go on an indefinite strike from February 11.
