Poland- Optimistic Claim

 IN its long, tortuous round of negotiations with Argentina, the country with the third largest external debt, the IMF is having problems. It is demanding that among other things, such as controlling credit/noney supply, restricting government spending, and curbing imports, the Argentine government should more or less abandon index-linking of wages or the commitment it now is obliged to observe to adjust wages to inflation. Argentina is stoutly resisting the IMF demand.
