Transport Operators Financial Profile THE Reserve Bank has thrown some interesting light on the working of transport operators and traders through a survey conducted between October 1979 and June 1980. Confined to units assisted by commercial banks, the survey covered 18,186 units comprising 8,788 retail traders, 3,269 wholesale traders and 6,129 transport operators. Earlier, in 1977, the Reserve Bank had conducted a survey of small-scale industrial units assisted by commercial banks.
