But the scheme has had quite a few achievements to its credit. These in- clude elimination of middlemen and their exploitation of the financially weak growers, a sense of participation on the part of growers in the market- ing of their product, better grading facilities, supply of quality cotton to mills and closer relations with public sector/co-operative sector units.
