Pakistan-Growing Opposition

 has always proclaimed that it is not a movement confined to Manipur alone and is not some form of a political/ military expression of the so-called Meitei revivalism against 'outsiders'' Further, its operations till now have shown a level of sophistication in planning and execution recognised grudgingly even by the army authorities. But the 'device' found in Delhi, despite all the drama created over it, appears to have been an especially crude device with convenient identification marks scribbled all over on chits of paper which would have anyway been destroyed had the device exploded. It indeed the PLA wanted to make a 'gesture' in the capital, perhaps in retaliation for the arrest and killing of some of its top leaders in recent months, and with a view to tellingly informing New Delhi that insurgency was not dead in Manipur, it would surely have made a more efficient job of it.
