Lower Growth Expected in East Europe

ANNUAL growth rates during 1982 in terms of net material product (NMP) for the majority of the Eastern Euro-pean countries and the USSR are envisaged at levels lower than those recorded in 1981, according to a survey by the UN Economic Commission for Europe (ECE). The only exceptions to this trend arc Czechoslovakia and Rumania.
