December 12, 1981 DHANBAD Miners' Fight against Imposters Amiya Rao THIS is the story of 28 tribal and harijan stone-cutters in the North Khurki colliery (area No 1) of Baghmara PS in Dhanbad district who have become victims of a cruel fraud perpetrated on them by Bharat Coking Coal in collusion with INTUC. Their tale of woe began in 1973, soon after the coal industry was nationalised and they were thrown out of employment by the management on the pretext that they were contract labour and as such were temporary.
