One should also note in passing the kind of conditions that make it necessary for the upper middle classes to arrange for that money abroad: it forms part of the black economy nexus of course and pays for the luxury goods to which they are accustomed but it also finances the education of one's progeny abroad (no mee feat when university fees abroad have risen so much) and to 'buy' one's eventual emigration into countries which require some capital ($50,000 for the US) to be brought in if blood connections won't do it.
